“For years, the wide front steps of our Victorian semi in Hackney had leaked, making the substantial storage space below unusable. We obtained several quotes about how to waterproof things, which produced a wide variety of solutions and prices. London Stonemasonry told us that the only way to get the steps waterproof was essentially to demolish and rebuild, and having gone through the process, I have no doubt that they were correct. The proposed work was the most extensive of all the estimates and this has not been cheap. However, we are extremely pleased with the overall result.

“The work was clearly and carefully planned with a scaffolding canopy, a portaloo, and early morning deliveries when necessary. The workmen were a pleasure to have around and were clearly meticulous in their work taking great pride in the finished result. Many of our neighbours followed the work with interest and made the same comments about the quality – one said ‘it was like watching a sculpture being created’!

“The maximum effort was put in to accommodate all our small queries and wishes, and the final tidying and overall finish has been excellent. We would certainly recommend this company for all stone-related work, without hesitation.”

“We chose Will and his team over others because they responded quickly to my initial enquiry, came around the house the next day and gave me a list of other properties nearby where I could see examples of their work.
